Tenerife: Loro Parque

 

A trip down the hill to the western end of Puerto de la Cruz and Loro Parque, which is Spanish for parrot park .
rose cockatoos Rose and white cockatoos.
ara A blue ara from South America.
grey parrot A grey parrot. Many parrots have escaped and nest in the trees in Loro Parque and the city. There is a show with parrots performing tricks and flying around the theatre. No one succeeded in getting a good photograph - they were too fast.
seals The seal show.

dolphins The dolphin show.
penguins The penguins live in a climate siimilar to the Antarctic. It snows several times every day.
silver fish A 2-storey high tank of fish which swam round and round and round. It was fascinating to watch them.
shark The aquarium has a tunnel so visitors can walk through and see the sharks and other fish.
white tiger Back out in the sunshine. The white tiger posed nicely in the sunshine. The black panther was sleeping in the shadows.
